Syringa Creek Culvert Replacement

Project: The structurally compromised culvert under Broadwater Road on Syringa Creek near Robson, BC, was upgraded to a fish-passable design. Natural substrate was embedded to support fish movement within the culvert, and stream complexing was completed upstream and downstream to improve habitat connectivity. In addition, the site was restored with a variety of native plants.

Services: Masse Environmental was retained by YRB to provide environmental support services that included providing recommendations for fish passage design and habitat complexing, restoration prescription, environmental permitting applications, and environmental monitoring and reporting services during construction. Masse Environmental's contributions played a vital role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, minimizing potential impacts on natural resources, and promoting responsible construction practices.
