Riparian Area Assessments

Client: Private and commercial landowners

Project: Developments along lakes, streams and wetlands within or adjacent to riparian areas may require municipal, regional or provincial government permitting. Masse Environmental has conducted numerous riparian assessments for waterfront landowners throughout the Kootenay Region including Kootenay Lake, Nelson, Rossland, Salmo, Creston, Christina Lake, Slocan Lake and Nakusp.

Services: The riparian assessments are conducted by a Qualified Environmental Professional in accordance with the Riparian Areas Protection Regulation and/or municipal bylaws. The riparian assessment reports provide a description of the existing conditions of the property and riparian areas, identify habitat values, assess potential environmental impacts, and recommend measures to mitigate or compensate for the alteration of the riparian area to maintain environmental values.
